Take time to have fun with your grandchildren on a regular basis!
Make it so when you are gone they can say what Phil. 1:3 says "I thank my God upon every remembrance of you"
Does this mean things will always be fun? NO.
But it doesn’t hurt to try and make many good memories!
God doesn’t want us to always be focusing on the negative. He wants us to enjoy life!
Proverbs 17:22 "A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones."
Teach your grandchildren to have a Merry Heart by not just your words but also your actions!
Jesus wants us to have Joy!
John 10:10 says "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."
Some ideas:
Go for walks
Go to the park
Go get ice cream
Play video games or board games with them - Playing Kismet with Gram.
Play outside with them - Playing baseball with my pap.
Make holidays fun - decorate the house - make it fun!
Walk around the mall or town center or department store
Take them to the Dollar Store and let them buy a toy or 10
Paint their bedroom
Go to a coffee shop
Take them with you to do things that you like to do. - Sometimes that is the best option!
